Capsule Geology

A 3 to 5 centimetre quartz-carbonate vein, consisting of smokey grey quartz and well developed calcite crystals, contains fine disseminated pyrite, arsenopyrite and chalcopyrite. The host is a strongly altered volcanic(?). The showing occurs in the contact area of Lower Jurassic Takwahoni Formation (Laberge Group) sedimentary rocks with an Upper Triassic Stuhini Group sedimentary package and a volcaniclasic unit.

A sample of the vein assayed 1.47 grams per tonne gold, 1.6 grams per tonne silver, 0.004 per cent copper and 0.06 per cent lead and 0.04 per cent zinc (Assessment Report 22384).

In 1992, Georgia Resources Inc. returned to the Jak and Joly showings (104K 090) and collected 70 soil, 22 silt and 22 rock samples and conducted a mapping program (Assessment Report 22384). At this time they prospected and sampled the mountain to the southeast in the area of their Lis 3 claim. See MINFILE 104K 090 for further details of the area geology and work history.

In 2011, fourteen stream sites were sampled, and thirteen rock samples were collected by Gulfside Minerals on their Northern Treasure property which covered the Lis 3 showing. A 2500 hectare remote sensing (ASTER) survey was conducted. The Aster results matched the areas that were free of organic soils and plant growth as the method does not work well where the rocks are covered. It may be when detailed geological mapping is completed there will be found to be correlation between the geology and certain bands, but now the large size of the image pixels precludes a more detailed comparison. Rock samples values were not significant. Silt samples yielded significant values.

In 2016 J2 Syndicate Holdings conducted a reconnaissance exploration program over three days in August of 2016 prior to staking the Eldorado Property. A total of 15 rock grab samples were collected: at the Eureka Trend (Joly & Jak showings (104K 090)) with a chip sample of 17.85 grams per tonne gold and 108 grams per tonne silver; the Cash showing (new in 2016) of 0.49 grams per tonne gold, 1.16 per cent lead from mineralized stockwork within a siliceous fault; and the Bonanza showing with 2.18 grams per tonne gold, 149 grams per tonne silver, 5.31 per cent lead near southeast of the WAHB showing (104K 150).

The 2017 exploration program was carried out on the Eldorado Property from August 26th to August 31st, 2017 and consisted of reconnaissance and follow-up prospecting, mapping, silts and rock sampling. One hundred and nine (109) samples were taken: 21 chip samples, 36 rock grab samples, 45 talus fine samples and 7 silt samples. Two geologists and one prospector traversed the property collecting samples, geological observations and pictures. About 20 rock samples were collected near the Lis 3 location, within less than 200 metres to the west and up to several hundred metres north and northwest. Also, about 17 rock samples were taken just west of, and on the upper reaches of Mike Creek which is the first stream to the east of Mark Creek. None of the samples at or near Mark or Mike creeks yielded any significant assay values.

See Joly (104K 090) for more detailed geological and work history summaries.
